Begin Link Building Today – Review Your Google Analytics …

  1. OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAYes, begin link building today! 4 Blog Post Ideas Below
  2. Review your Google Analytics to see what’s working, where traffic is coming from or NOT coming from.
  3. Change your plan as needed.

Ideas on how you can start link building today:

You already know quality content is key. You could be a guest blogger on someone’s website or offer to let someone interview you for their blog.

Whether you are going to be the guest blogger or you are seeking guest bloggers, I’d follow the next few steps to make sure you are acquainted with them and as knowledge as possible before your first exchange.

Blog Post : Interview Style

  • Review their website to find out what they are an expert within.
  • Does this match your goal and your website too?
  • Will this guest blog post be a win-win for both parties involved?
  • Get connected with the website owner or potential guest blogger, especially through LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter
  • Send them a message to introduce yourself and ask them to send you questions (or vice versa… if you’d like to interview them for your website, send them questions you’d like them to answer). I have a great example of someone doing this with me, you can check out the blog post here: Interview a Virtual Assistant: Staci Jansma
  • Once you receive questions – reply back with answers which will create the blog posts. Include your bio and photo too.
  • Create the JV partnership – if you have an affiliate program, you can offer to let them sign up as an affiliate and then they can earn commissions when possible.

Blog Post : Article Directories & Guest Blogger Opportunity

Write a blog post of quality content (of course!) and after you publish it on your blog, have your virtual assistant post it to article directories. This will help create quality backlinks in addition to click-through traffic from the article readers. You could also write a guest blog post for someone’s blog based upon a topic you are an expert in. And of course – link it to your website for the “back link”!

Blog Post: With Video Marketing

Instead of writing it all out – press record and video tape yourself speaking. You could also do this for a guest blog post too if your guest blogger likes to record and post videos.

Blog Post: With Audio / Podcasting

Vary similar to Video Marketing, except no video, just audio. The main concept you want to reach with any of your blog post choices is – make it quality content, share something that will help others understand or even demonstrate how to do something.

One last tip: Don’t spend time worrying about what, how or when – just get started. Start posting today and over time – you will want to check back on your Google Analytics to see what is helping and what isn’t as to what you should continue to do for going forward. Wish you the best!

Are you experiencing issues with your Wishlist Membership?

Having customers send in more support tickets then you’d like to see? Can’t see this? Can’t access this?

First check this…
put your domain along with this: wp-content/plugins/wishlist-member/selfcheck/

so let’s say: is your domain

Then you’d have:

Use this to see if your install is “bad” for wishlist member. I have found this out with client’s websites as well as one of mine. Not 100% sure why the install goes bad, but according to an support ticket answer that is all they have to say.

And it’s really simple to FIX! You just delete the WL Member from your WordPress website, and re-install it by adding the newest version back in.

Importing of Lists and Need to Combine Columns in Microsoft Excel

Combine content

I had a client that needed her excel database of contacts added into her new autoresponder system. What was odd was – the system only wanted Name not first name and last name columns. So I went through and google’d for the coding to make this happen.

In case you might need it here it is:

=A1&” “&B1&”

So I “married” column A and column B together to get name.

Split content based on a delimiter

Use this method if your names have a delimited format, such as “First_name Last_name” (where the space between First_name and Last_name is the delimiter) or “Last_name, First_name” (where the comma is the delimiter).

Split space-delimited content

To complete these steps, copy the following sample data to a blank worksheet.

How to copy an example

Syed Abbas
Molly Dempsey
Lola Jacobsen
Diane Margheim
  1. Select the range of data that you want to convert.

  2. On the Data tab, in the Data Tools group, click Text to Columns.
  1. In Step 1 of the Convert Text to Columns Wizard, click Delimited, and then click Next.
  2. In Step 2, select the Space check box, and then clear the other check boxes under Delimiters.

The Data preview box shows the first and last names in two separate columns.

  1. Click Next.
  2. In Step 3, click a column in the Data preview box, and then click Text under Column data format.

Repeat this step for each column in the Data preview box.

  1. If you want to insert the separated content into the columns next to the full name, click the icon to the right of the Destination box, and then select the cell next to the first name in the list (B2, in this example).

Important   If you do not specify a new destination for the new columns, the split data will replace the original data.

  1. Click the icon to the right of the Convert Text to Columns Wizard.

  1. Click Finish.

92% of Businesses Contribute Their Success to This…

HeartcenteredsidebargraphicIn my experience of working with a wide variety of entrepreneurs from all walks of life, there is one commonality that holds true: the power of relationships!

92% of successful businesses contribute their success to effective networking –which is essentially creating a strong network of relationships based on reciprocal benefit.

Maybe you’ve heard that networking is important before, but what really brought it home for me, is the way that Tami Gulland, one of my own clients, describes networking:

“Networking requires a degree of vulnerability for being seen for who you really are and being open to engaging in relationships that will support you in embracing your brilliance and sharing it with the world.”

Have you ever thought of networking in that way?

This means networking is far more than going through the motions, it requires both being open in your own heart,  and applying the strategies to make your connections mutually profitable.

That’s why I wanted to share with you a free virtual training starting on Wednesday called “The Heart Centered Networking Virtual Training.”

I am excited to hear about all the ins and outs about Heart-Centered Networking- with topics like:

  • Finding the networking opportunities that are a perfect fit for you
  • Using social media as your “generosity factor” that connects you with new networks
  • How to stay in your heart when “closing the deal” in strategic conversations

These are just a few of my personal favorite topics I’m looking forward to listening to. (There’s another fascinating 11 other topics that cover every step of the way- from what to do before you leave your house to automating your follow-ups so you don’t lose your leads.)

Because as you know by now, you can’t build your business alone.

And this training is absolutely free- so there’s nothing to lose.

1ShoppingCart Welcome Affiliate Email Coding Error

If you have been experiencing issues with utilizing the “shortcode” within 1ShoppingCart and when your affiliates receive the email and the link is not complete, mainly the is missing, this is a KNOWN issue with 1ShoppingCart since 4/16/2013 and unsure how soon or when it will be fixed.

I called into 1ShoppingCart support to ask them why I was seeing this in the system and what the affiliate received when they signed up… support said this is a known issue… and honestly – surprised with this being a known issue why it’s not fixed.

Today knowing that it’s still an issue spoke with support about it and just asked how is this suppose to work – just so frustrated.

The support representative said I have something that will work for sure.

Then he asked me to refresh. This is what he replaced in the Welcome email so you can use it too.

Your default affiliate link is:<$affid$>

Hope you find this useful!
