After reading about 50% of The Social Media Why? I have already wrote down a few notes of things that I need to improve on and try to remember for my own business venture, as well as the clients I serve (and will be serving). I really enjoyed the 5 Actions Steps that were included. Not only is this a great resource to read and gain knowledge from but you have action steps that you can put into place before you move onto the next social media. So if you are just stuck or confused when it comes to social media of Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest, Google+, etc… then I’d recommend getting started with The Social Media Why? today.

Listen…

Getting a bad review on Kindle is EXCRUCIATING.

And do you know how EASY it is to get a bad review due to formatting? The majority of people unknowingly mess up formatting all the time. :(

That’s why you need to know about this:

The majority of bad reviews on Kindle are due to bad formatting on the author’s part.

But it’s HARD to get that formatting right… and really headache inducing.

Before this Kindle Formatter online software, uploading a book was a SEVEN step process that could take you an HOUR.

Or you could pay someone $50-$100 to do it for you.

UGH.

Now it’s a 2 minute process that’s brain-dead simple.

If you plan on making money with Kindle, you NEED this – period:

P.S. This works out to 27 cents per book. No-brainer:

Have you used Adobe InDesign before? Anyone??

Starting to dive in and learn ePub for my Kindle guides. Looking for something that will ensure each upload to Amazon Kindle will be perfect with images visible and table of contents loaded correctly and looking great.

I did find these two helpful references:

And also noted these steps:

Kindle has the option to “Go To” the cover image, beginning and the Table of Contents of your book, anywhere from the content. These are defined by what is known as “Guide Items.” To define the Guide Items, follow the below steps:

For the Cover Image:
Click on the cover image, then click on “Insert > Bookmark.” In the ‘Bookmark name:” field, type “cover” (without the quotes) and click “Add.”

For the Beginning:
Place the cursor where you want the book to start, click on “Insert > Bookmark.” In the “Bookmark name:” field, type “Start” (without the quotes) and click “Add.”

For the Table of Contents:
Place the cursor at the beginning of the first entry in the Table of Contents. Click on “Insert > Bookmark.” In the “Bookmark name:” field, type “TOC” (without the quotes) and click “Add.”
