Twitter tips I have gathered online…

I read things here and there and overtime come up with a list that I read here and there to help me to remember what I could be doing or clients could be doing better…

Let me give you a few that I think are a must-know:

  • Bio on your Twitter page: Does it need to be updated? Make sure it tells them why you should be followed and what you will be offering within your tweets.
  • What you are Tweeting – Did You Know? Could be indexed in Google! So think before you Tweet! [this actually goes for anything online]
  • #FF or #FollowFriday – this is a traditional to mention who others could be following. Say something about the group of people you have selected.
  • #Hashtag – helps to bring others together – if you are hosting a teleclass – then have them use a special hashtag just for the event.
  • Use search.twitter.com to find people you could be following based upon keywords.
  • HIGHLY RECOMMEND: Hootsuite for your twitter application. I can add all my social networks including FB fanpages and schedule status updates to one, a few or all of them at once.
  • And one more tip: Been using SocialOomph.com to have an automatic direct message sent once someone starts to follow you and allows you to automatically follow them back to.
